Artist Statement: Enlighten the action word, not the destination of enlightenment. The Action of letting go of burdens and choosing to bring light to your world. I lost a dear friend to cancer and saw her burdens leave her body as she lightened. She floated above her suffering, and she brought so much joy to all who knew her. I made this as a reminder to choose joy even in the harshness of circumstances.
